Equipment Description


Kodak Digital Camera
Model # DC-210

This Kodak camera allows you to take digital pictures.  The images can then be transferred to your computer through a cable.  Software will need to be installed on your computer in order for the camera and computer to communicate and transfer pictures.

Sony Digital Camera
Model # FD-85

This Sony camera allows you to take digital pictures and store them on a regular floppy disk.  The disk can then be inserted into any computer so the pictures can be viewed or placed into multimedia presentations.  The camera also allows you to take 15 sec. videos.  Very easy to use!

Sony Digital Camera
Model # FD-83

This Sony camera allows you to take digital pictures and store them on a regular floppy disk.  The disk can then be inserted into any computer so the pictures can be viewed or placed into multimedia presentations.


JVC Digital Video Camera

The JVC digital video camera is a very compact and lightweight video camera.  Since it saves the video digitally, it can be transferred to a computer for editing.

Sharp VHS Video Camera
Model # VL-L310U

The Sharp VHS Camcorder allows you to take movies that are recorded on ordinary VHS tapes and can then be viewed using the VCR in your classroom. The camcorder is old, so it has a few problems you should be aware of.  The battery does not work so it must be plugged into an outlet at all times, the tripod mount is broken and the eyepiece has been glued back together so treat it with care.

There are 2 tripods located in the library.


SmartBoard

The SmartBoard is used in conjunction with an LCD projector to project what is on the computer screen.  The board can also be used as a touch screen.  There are 4 different colored markers that can be used to draw or make connotations.  The drawings and connotations can then be saved and or printed for future use.  It is a great tool for brainstorming and much, much, more.

LCD Projector & VCR Cart

The LCD projector hooks up to your computer and allows you to project what's on your computer's screen.  There is also a VCR hooked up to the projector so you can play VHS tapes.  The projector can be used alone or in conjunction with the SmartBoard.

AlphaSmart 2000

AlphaSmart keyboards are used by students to type their stories, poems, etc.  The stories can then be transferred to any computer with a cable and saved in Microsoft Word.



 

 


Cassette Recorder

This cassette recorder is available for your use.  It plays and records regular audio tapes.

What is mimio Xi?

mimio Xi is a portable device that attaches to any whiteboard (up to 4'x8' in size), connects to your PC/Mac and when used with a projector, allows you control your desktop applications and documents directly from the board. Without a projector, mimio enables you to digitally capture notes or drawings that can be saved, shared, and/or integrated into other materials.
