"Why Take Latin" posters created by MHS students!

Welcome, all!  Please take some time to browse through this website. There are some really useful things here! Directly below, I've posted a few of the links that you may find most important (including online exercises/games keyed to the textbook and my electronic homework submission page).  Additionally,, there is a more complete links page on the sidebar (including lots of National Latin Exam Stuff). I've also put a page on the sidebar with direct links for all of my YouTube videos (over 10,000 views so far!); there's a page with midterm and final study guides ... and much more! If you don't take the time to discover what's here, you really will miss out!

Read the Princeton Packet article about 2011-12 Latin IV's publication of a translation of Latin poetry, or buy the book on Amazon!

ELECTRONIC HOMEWORK SUBMISSION, AUDIO FILES, VOCABULBARY SPREADSHEET, YOUTUBE VIDEOS
  • Spread Sheet of all the vocabulary for Oxford Latin Course, Books I, II, & III !!! This is a Google Doc spread sheet, but I have it set so that you cannot edit it.  If you copy it to your own Google docs account (if you have one) or if you export it as an Excel spread sheet, you can then sort it any way you want (e.g., by chapter, by part of speech, alphabetically, etc.). It should be very helpful to have all of the book's vocab. in electronic form.

ONLINE GAMES & EXERCISE FOR THE OXFORD LATIN COURSE
  • Internet Workbook for Oxford Latin Course.  This site has vocabulary flash cards, games (memory, hangman), and additional exercises/practice for each chapter of the textbook.  Just click on the appropriate textbook (I, II, or III) and then the chapter you want to study!  Enjoy!

  • Oxford Latin Course Drills. This site also has lots of good exercises.

  • Quia Flashcards/Vocabulary Games. This is one of several sites that have free online flashcards/vocabulary games.  Choose Oxford Latin Course from the pulldown menu for textbooks and find the current chapter.
