Ms. Hum’s Supply List
2012-2013
Dear Student,
Welcome to fourth grade! Summer is almost over, and soon it will be time to start a new school year. Fourth grade is an exciting year, and I am glad that we will be spending it together. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
While you may have already started to buy some school supplies (from the list you received in June), there are certain supplies I would like you to bring to school. We will spend the first few days labeling and organizing our materials.
Here are the supplies I would like you to bring in the first few days of school:
☑ (Use this as a checklist - check off each of the following supplies after you buy them.)
¨ 8 – 10 marble composition notebooks (You can choose the colors/designs. No spiral notebooks, please! You can start the year with just 6 composition notebooks, but you will need to replace them when you run out of pages.)
¨ 1 folder (You choose the color/design!)
¨ 1 Sharpie marker (You choose the color!)
¨ A box of zip lock bags (either gallon or quart size)
¨ Scotch tape (w/dispensers) (You can start the year with just 1-2, but you will need to replace the tape as the year progresses.)
¨ Colored pencils
¨ A pair of scissors
¨ Pencils & erasers
¨ Headphones/ear buds (that can be left in your cubby or in your backpack)
¨ Post-it Notes with lines (If you can write neatly without lines, regular Post-its are okay!)
¨ Pencil box or case
Optional supplies: (We have some of these in our classroom for everyone to use, but you may prefer to have your own.)
¨ Crayons & markers
¨ A glue stick
¨ Gel pens
¨ A dry-erase marker
Two reminders:
* Your backpack will need to fit easily into a cubby; larger backpacks and backpacks with wheels are not encouraged since they tend to be too big.
* The first day of school (September 6, 2012) is a full day. Bring a snack and a lunch (or lunch money).
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and I will see you soon!
Sincerely,
Ms. Hum
