Dear Third Grade Families,
Welcome to third grade at Village Elementary School. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and open the door to communication. We are very excited to begin the new school year! We have many ideas and plans for our courses of study, and we are looking forward to learning about the dreams and aspirations of your children.
Truly, education is a continuous journey that occurs every day of our lives. It is expressed in our personal interests, the questions we ask, and the responses we receive. We hope to encourage natural and meaningful learning in our classroom so that each student is able to reach his or her potential.
We would like to work together with you to help your child do his/her very best. One way you can help is to provide your child with a quiet place to do homework. Your child will have approximately 30 minutes of homework each night. No homework will be assigned on weekends except for reports and projects. In addition to a good place to work, your child will also need a supply of pencils, paper, etc. You will see a more specific supply list to the right. You will also find the supply list on the VES website.
Your involvement and support will mean a great deal to your child and will be very helpful to us. We look forward to meeting you and to working with your child. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We encourage all emails, calls, and visits.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Williams & Mrs. Carro
