I read about this girl when she used to think things about bats but they are not true. She found it out when she stayed at a place for the summer where bats live.
A bat is a mammal and sleeps in day and is awake in the night. They use echolocation. Echolocation is when a bat says a little noise so small you can’t hear it and if there is a thing the sound goes back and they know something is there. Bats use their eyes for seeing in the day.

What an enchanted book! Thanks Linda Chapman! You make everything in this book sound so magical! This book is about a girl named Lauren. Lauren and her mother, Mrs. Foster, go to a horse and pony sale. Lauren finds a beautiful gray pony, with secret powers she doesn’t know about that she has to discover. Mrs. Foster buys it for her and his name is Twilight. On her way home from buying some pony supplies, Lauren finds a bookstore that looks interesting, so she and Mrs. Foster take a look inside it. Lauren looks over by the children’s books’ area and finds a group of pony books that she wants. Then, the bookstore owner, Mrs. Fontana, gets a little footstool and uses it to reach an old book on unicorns and Lauren now wants this book, but Mrs. Foster says it’s to much money. Mrs. Fontana, however, gives it to Lauren as a welcoming present to Granger’s Farm. Lauren was so thankful that as soon as she came home, she started reading the book. She tries to find the secret spell to become a unicorn, but she can’t find it. Then, Twilight nuzzles Lauren and then he blows air out from his nose, but before Lauren could turn back to her page, Twilight does it again! Leaving Lauren with only the back cover and the page glued to the back cover. Twilight blows again, making Lauren see the little flap of the last page. She pulls gently on the flap and the page opens! She reads it to herself and discovers the secret spell! She then uses that spell to Twilight, but nothing happens until a purple glow flashes everywhere and something amazing happens! Find out when you read chapter nine of “My Secret Unicorn: The Magic Spell."
