OHES Room Parents:
Thank you very much for volunteering to be a Room Parent. On the bottom, you will find five documents that will be useful to you throughout the next year. It’s very important that you open all the file attachments and save them to your computer disk drive. The files are:
1. Room parent guidelines
2. A room parent letter to classroom parents requesting volunteers
3. A letter used to request donations for a teacher gift (holiday and/or year-end)
4. An excel spreadsheet for volunteer data
5. Room party activities/games ideas
Please keep in mind that you will not get reimbursed by the PTA (or by anyone) for room parent expenses. Please consider this when planning for the parties.
You should request all food and drinks from the parents. Please contact the teacher to find out about class allergies/dietary restrictions and make sure the parents are aware of it and abide by it.
