USCGA Introduction Mission
The United States Coast Guard Academy provides a one week summer program for high school students who are currently transitioning from their junior to senior year. To learn more about the academy and the upcoming program, please visit www.uscga.edu .
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program
Students interested in earning valuable credentials to serve their community on a local rescue squad should enroll in the 2013 EMT Program at Somerset County Vocational and Technical High School. An orientation is scheduled for June 15, 2013 and classes will begin on June 26, 2013 and run Monday through Thursday until August 15th. Students must be 16 years old and residents of Somerset County. If they qualify, students may earn 6 college credits from Raritan Valley Community College. Police Youth Week
This week long program (July 15 -July 19, 2013 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) has been developed to introduce high school students to a career in the Criminal Justice System through classroom and practical based experiences. Summer College at Caldwell (SCAC)Program
Caldwell College is hosting a Free Summer College Program for current juniors. Students will receive three college credits at no cost and the program will be very beneficial for students who may be interested in studying a health related field in college. Students need to apply and meet the following criteria: three years of math and science, NJ resident, 3.0 GPA and neither parent has a bachelor's degree.
