The Montgomery High School Marching Band
The Montgomery High School Marching Band was founded in August of 2003 by 55 incredibly dedicated students. Many of these students did not even know what a marching band was, but still made the huge time commitment involved in making a marching band successful. Through their work-ethic and fantastic attitude, they set the foundation for the model of excellence the band lives by.
The Montgomery High School Marching Band is one of the largest co-curricular activities at Montgomery High School. It rehearses Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after school until 5:00 p.m. The instrumental component of the marching band is open to all students registered for a curricular music ensemble. The color-guard component of the marching band is open to all students at Montgomery High School by audition only.
Since its founding, the band has received excellent and superior ratings at local and regional festivals and has been recognized by the United States Marines for its high level of military bearing and professionalism. The band has been awarded best music awards and the USSBA Spirit Award. In the 2007, 2008, and 2009 seasons, the band received superior ratings at all of the festivals it attended as well as the following awards at some of the festivals: best music, best marching, best color guard, and best overall effect.
The Montgomery High School Marching Band performs at all Montgomery High School varsity football games, local and regional parades, and local and regional festivals. It is a voluntary ensemble with membership coming from the over 200 students in the curricular instrumental music program. Rehearsals take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 2:40 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

CLICK HERE: Marching Band Volunteer Needs!! There are a number of volunteer needs for the marching band, especially on the chaperone and uniform crew. All parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer. It is a great experience and we can use your help!
Because the marching band travels regularly, we need a medical form from every student. This form gives medical personnel permission to treat your child in the event of an emergency. We cannot allow a student to participate without this form
