In October, we will complete our first reading unit; we will focus on strategies to solve tricky words. Next, we will begin Unit 2, Growing Word Solving Muscles. Students will learn to be flexible word solvers by using all the strategies they know to problem solve more difficult unknown words. In writing, we will continue on with our small moments, true stories about ourselves where we had a big feeling. Your children will learn to include bold beginnings, five senses, action words, dialogue, and thoughts into their writing. Finally, we will revise our stories and share with the class. 

In math we are continuing on with Unit 1, Figure the Facts. Please read this link for more information.
