    Orchard Hill High-Five Program!
This program was developed by our School Counselor's and promotes bucket filling behavior through positive reinforcement. To receive a High-Five, students are "caught" doing something special, which catches a staff members eye.  That staff member immediately tells the student what they noticed and gives them a High-Five sticker.  This offers immediate feedback and reinforcement.
The staff member then fills out a High-Five card for the student and hands it into the main office.  Mrs. Scotti and Mrs. Dudley deliver the High-Five cards to students throughout the week.  The card is read aloud to the class and the student(s) are applauded.  Students are then able to take home their High-Five card to keep and show off to their parents :)
The goal is for all students K-2 to be "caught" doing something good and receive a High-Five at some point over the course of the school year.  The High-Five can come from any member of the school (i.e. teacher, related arts teacher, counselor, principal).  Students are taught that they are not going to receive a High-Five for every good thing they do.  They will be given one when they least expect it.
High-Five stickers are purchased from Oriental Trading Company
