A Message from the Superintendent - Remembering 9/11

September 10, 2021

Dear Montgomery Township School Community,

Tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on American soil that took the lives of more than 2,900 innocent victims and injured more than 6,000 others. We remember and grieve those losses, as we continue to lose many who are suffering the aftermath of the horrific and senseless destruction.

On behalf of our school district, I would like to express our tremendous appreciation, respect, and remembrance for those innocent victims and first responders who died on 9/11/01 and in the years following.

Thank you to those who served and are currently serving in our armed forces. Their sacrifices to defend and protect our freedoms allow us to live in our great country. Finally, thank you to our own MTSD service men and women, first responders, and their families.

Sincerely,

Mary E. McLoughlin
Superintendent
