After an extensive search, Mr. Mark Accardi was appointed as Principal of the Montgomery Upper Middle School at the April 29, 2025 Board of Education Meeting. Mr. Accardi will officially begin his new role on July 1, 2025.

Mr. Accardi began his career in education as a Special Education teacher and holds multiple education degrees from The College of New Jersey. Throughout his time at UMS, he has shown a deep commitment to creating a welcoming environment where every student feels valued and supported. He believes that individuality and empathy are essential to helping students access the education they deserve, and he has worked closely with staff to ensure that every student knows they belong at UMS. Mr. Accardi has served as the UMS Vice Principal since July 2021.
