Renowned philosopher Soren Kierkegaard once stated "Life must be understood backwards; but...it must be lived forward" and that is my life philosophy. Seeking adventure, I packed my bags and left New Jersey upon graduating high school and headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico where I studied theatre on a scholarship. Though I enjoyed my studies, the acting bug didn't bite hard enough, so I moved on to Chicago where I completed my bachelor's degree in radio, tv, film and journalism. Working in radio for three years, I again wanted to spread my wings so I headed for Minneapolis, Minnesota where I made an attempt selling cable TV subscriptions door-to-door and managed restaurants for a few years. It was there that I began spending my free time as a volunteer in a middle school classroom. Finally, I felt complete...well, almost.I returned to my home state where I was able to spend time with my family and I completed my masters degree in teaching. My first teaching job was at Morris Knolls High School where I taught English and Theatre and was fortunate enough to meet my husband. In 2004, I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to create the Public Speaking and Television Production programs at Montgomery Middle School, where I happily work today.Outside of work, the things that get me going are football, movies (yes, I'm a "Star Wars" geek), shopping, and spending time with my husband, Rob, my children, McKenna and Robbie, our dog, Chewie and two cats, Tabitha and Kyoko.GO COUGARS!
