Welcome to my classroom!  I'm excited to welcome our students this year as we explore and learn together.  My goal is to disguise learning as play as best we can in all subject areas - reading, writing, phonics, and math.  I'll also be modifying assignments and expectations to best meet the needs of each learner.  I hope to also find time for play and social skill development.  I can't wait to learn and grow with you!

I'm not new to teaching, but hope to bring the same enthusiasm that I've had since day one. I've taught for 10 years in South Plainfield and have experience in 3rd grade, 3rd grade inclusion, and PSD (preschoolers with disabilities). I've also taught preschoolers in South Philadelphia.  I earned both of my teaching degrees from The College of New Jersey (bachelor's class of 2007, M.Ed class of 2013).

I have two children and my husband at home.  Your children may hear me talk about them throughout instruction time as I work them into examples regularly. My daughter, Peyton, is going into third grade and she loves unicorns, kittens, Taylor Swift, glitter, and all things girly.  My son, Mason, is entering kindergarten and is so excited to learn!  He loves Hess trucks, Sesame Street, playgrounds, and making messes!  He also wants you to know he is excited for my change in teaching roles at OHES this year!

Let's make it a great school year!
