The Montgomery Township School District is looking for qualified substitute teachers, nurses, custodians and secretaries who are passionate about education and the future of our students. There are opportunities available at all of the District schools. If you are a New Jersey certified teacher, have at least 30 college credits, or have a RN license and current Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certification (substitute nurse), you are eligible to apply as a substitute teacher or substitute nurse.Substitute Application Process:
- Step 1: Apply via Applicant tracking by accessing this link from the Montgomery Township School District website.
- Step 2: If you were previously fingerprinted by a NJ Public School as a substitute teacher, please go to this link and follow the directions for “Transfer Request”. If you were not previously fingerprinted by a NJ Public School, please follow the directions for “New Administration Fee Request”. Fingerprints/Background check must reflect “Montgomery Township School District”. District Code: 3320 and County Code: 35. Please select “Substitute Teacher” as the job title.
- Step 3: If you do not hold a valid NJ Teacher Certificate or a valid NJ Substitute Certificate, you will need to apply through NJEdCert. You will need to create an account and apply for the 60-Credit Instructional Substitute Credential. A copy of your fingerprint/background clearance will need to be uploaded to your account. After creating your account, please send official college transcripts to the NJDOE. Go to your college website and request the official transcripts be electronically sent to certapplication@doe.nj.gov.
