      A general Montgomery Special Education Parent Advisory Group Meeting will be taking place on Wednesday, May 21st from 6 PM to 7 PM in the Montgomery High School Media Center. All are welcome to attend. 
    • MTEA's Music from the Heart - Once Upon a Mattress New text bubble
      Tickets are still available for the Montgomery Township Education Association's 2025 Music from the Heart production of Once Upon a Mattress on Saturday, May 10th. Shows will be at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM in the MPAC, and all proceeds go towards scholarships for graduating seniors!

      Friday, May 16th will be the last day to register for our summer SOAR (Student Opportunities for Academics and Recreation) classes! Classes are filling up and we don’t want you to miss out! Please note that all Summer Credit classes are FILLED as well as Session 2 of Chemistry Preview and Session 2 of Build Your Own Business.

      Mr. Mark Accardi was appointed as Principal of the Montgomery Upper Middle School at the April 29th, 2025 Board of Education Meeting. He will officially begin his new role on July 1st, 2025.

      If you missed the Kindergarten Open Registration period in February for the 2025-26 school year, register now by clicking above to access the ONLINE registration process. We ask that families register ASAP so that we can properly plan for September. Thank you!

      Thank you to everyone who dropped off donations for the MTEA Spiritwear Recycling Program! Visit the UMS gym on Thursday, May 15th from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, or on Saturday, May 17th from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM to pick out "new to you" spiritwear.
    • MTEA Virtual Family Read Aloud - Wednesday, May 21st 
      The Montgomery Township Education Association invites OHES and VES students, along with their parents, to attend our next virtual read-aloud. We will be reading "Bilal Cooks Daal" by Aisha Saeed on Wednesday, May 21st. Each family will receive a copy of the book delivered to their child's classroom after the event. 
    • OHES Spring Principal Roundtable 
      OHES will be holding a Spring Principals' Roundtable on Tuesday, May 20th, from 6 PM to 7 PM at the Montgomery Board of Education Office. In-person and virtual seats are available for this roundtable. The deadline to sign-up is Friday, May 16th.

    • Somerset County 4-H TOPS Camp New text bubble
      TOPS Camp (Monday, June 30th - Thursday, July 3rd) is a 4-day week of fun, friends, and fascination! With a combination of outdoor activities, educational workshops, experiments with science, and making new friends – this is the perfect week-long Summer Day Camp! The deadline to register is Friday, May 16th.
    • Somerset County Park Commission: Camp Curiosity
      Space is the place! Have fun and make new friends at the Somerset County Park Commission's Camp Curiosity. This summer day program is for children with learning disabilities, Asperger's syndrome, high-functioning autism, or a mild intellectual disability. During the program, attendees will make their own solar oven, make astronaut ice cream, play fun space-themed games, make and launch their own rockets, take a trip to Monster Mini Golf, and more!
    • Greater Raritan Summer Youth Work Experience Program 
      The Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board invites youth between the ages of 16-24 to apply for the Summer Youth Work Experience Program. The program aims to provide youth participants with exposure to different careers and an opportunity to gain hands-on work experience, earn a paycheck, prepare for a future career, interact with employers, learn about community resources, and receive supportive services. The deadline to apply is Monday, May 12th. The application can be found by clicking this link. 
    • Montgomery Township Rec-N-Crew Summer Camp
      Registration is open for Montgomery Township's Rec-N-Crew Summer Camp! The camp, which is open to children entering grades 1-6 in the fall of 2025, will be filled with multiple guest entertainers, themed weeks, arts, crafts, and fun games. You can sign up by sessions or for all 6 weeks. 
    • You Can Join 4-H Clubs 
      Attention children in grades K-12: You can join Somerset County 4-H! Clubs meet year-round from September until August when members showcase their accomplishments at the Somerset County 4-H Fair (August 6–8, 2025). Of the 65+ clubs offered, many have space available.
