- Schools Closed: Monday, January 20th
Schools will be closed on Monday, January 20th. Schools reopen on Tuesday, January 21st--it will be a B Day for MHS/UMS/LMS students, and Day 6 for VES/OHES students.
- Board of Education Meeting: Tuesday, January 21st
The Montgomery Township Board of Education will be conducting its monthly business meeting on Tuesday, January 21st at 7 PM in the OHES cafeteria.
- Pre-K Registration: Opens Tuesday, January 21st
Registration for the Montgomery Township School District Integrated Preschool Program for children ages 3-5 will open on Tuesday, January 21st.
- Superintendent Roundtable Invitation
MTSD Superintendent Mrs. Mary E. McLoughlin will be hosting a Roundtable on Wednesday, February 5th at 6 PM in the MHS Media Center. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP by Monday, January 27th.
- 2025 Board of Education Meeting Schedule
The 2025 Board of Education meeting schedule was approved on January 7th. All meetings are scheduled to start at 7 PM in the OHES cafeteria.
- Kindergarten Registration Coming Soon
Full Day Kindergarten registration for OHES will take place throughout the month of February.

- OHES Week of Service: Tuesday, January 21st - Friday, January 24th
During the week of January 21-24, Orchard Hill students will pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a Week of Service! Students will participate in activities to support serving their communities.
- MTEA Virtual Read Aloud: Wednesday, January 22nd
The Montgomery Township Education Association invites OHES and VES students, along with their parents, to attend our second virtual read-aloud of the year. We will be reading "Friends are Friends Forever" by Dane Liu on Wednesday, January 22nd. Each family will receive a copy of the book delivered to their child's classroom after the event.

The next MES PTA meeting will be on Thursday, February 13th at 10 AM in the OHES cafeteria.

Village School and the PTA are excited to welcome author Rashad Davis on Friday, January 31st. The PTA is offering a book sale of Mr. Davis's books that will run through Thursday, January 30th.

- Yearbook Cover Design Contest
LMS students are invited to design a unique and original cover for the 2024-2025 LMS Yearbook. The deadline to submit your artwork is Friday, January 31st.
- DATE CHANGE: Duct Tape Your Prinicpal Fundraiser
On Thursday, February 20th, students will have the opportunity to duct tape Principal Romano and Assistant Principal Pachuta to the wall in the cafeteria!

UMS will be hosting a Principal's Roundtable on Tuesday, January 28th. The first 40 registrants will receive confirmed seating, while those who register after the first 40 seats are filled will be given priority for the second Principal Roundtable later in the school year.

- You Can Join 4-H Clubs
Attention children in grades K-12: You can join Somerset County 4-H! Clubs meet year-round from September until August when members showcase their accomplishments at the Somerset County 4-H Fair (August 6–8, 2025). Of the 65+ clubs offered, many have space available.
- 2025 Transition into Postsecondary Services Fair
The 2025 TiPS (Transition into Postsecondary Services) Fair will be held on Friday, February 28th, 2025 from 11 AM - 1 PM at the Raritan Valley Community College Events Center.
