Dear Parents,
It is with great pleasure that I have this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Jocelyn Keefe, and I teach the 5th and 6th grade chorus classes, the 5th grade beginning band, and 5th Grade Music Workshop. Here at LMS, our musical ensembles meet throughout the school year every other day, during the school day. Most of our ensemble classes have the additional benefit of a lesson teacher working closely on honing in on specific musical and ensemble skills in small groups or individually. Additionally, should your child need or wish to have extra help or review any material covered in class, I will be available for After School help on Thursdays. If Thursdays don't fit your child's schedule, Mr. Gordon will be available for help on Wednesdays.
For each of our Montgomery ensembles, one of the highest priorities is to develop our ensemble skills. This means that our music staff looks for students to strive to help their ensemble class in the most productive ways possible. Our class is a team; we work together and perform together, so we expect to see attributes and characteristics that will support this teamwork.I hope to promote your child’s musical enjoyment, appreciation, and education. I look forward to having your aid in your child’s education, so please encourage your child's musical endeavors and growth. I am so glad to have your child in my class. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me any time, and I will respond as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Jocelyn Keefe
Chorus and Beginning Band Director, LMS
