The Black Student Union was created with the hope of serving as a safe space for Black students. BSU focuses on diversity, equity and eradicating bias, cultural affirmation and education, advocacy, leadership and community service. Meetings helped students become acquainted with one another, exploring social and race-related issues, and celebrating Black culture. One of the goals is to develop closer relationships within the community, as well as outside of it.  Meetings and activities will incorporate Empathy, Equity, and Inclusion while maintaining a safe, fun, and welcoming environment.  Anyone, Regardless of Race, Is Welcome to Join the Club.
