The TCBS (Tolkien Club and Bókmál Society, affectionately known as the Tolkien and Viking Cult) is a literary society dedicated to examining the life and works of JRR Tolkien. The club has a special emphasis on the languages and literature that were influential to the author, especially Old Norse and Old English. We also spend time watching films based upon Tolkien’s work, discussing other fantasy literature, and reading work written by our own members. This club is a great place not only for enthusiasts of Tolkien and Old Norse sagas, but also for language nerds, book worms, and creative folk of all types.
