• Montgomery High School is proud to honor our fallen alumni 1st Lt. Ashley Henderson-Huff and SP4 Stephen Henry Warner with our newly renovated Veterans Memorial Garden. As the Eagle project of Avhan Misra (Troop 850), the garden was built last August and is located by the bus entrance to the school.**

Ms. Henderson-Huff, MHS Class of 2002, fell in Iraq on December 19, 2006, becoming New Jersey’s first female killed in action. She is admired for her generosity not only to Americans, but also to Iraqis as well. Ms. Huff will be remembered for her bravery. She is a role model to us all.1

Mr. Warner, a resident of Skillman, was killed in the Quang Tri Conflict in Vietnam on February 14, 1971. Throughout his time in service, Warner dared himself to tackle the most dangerous of tasks and voluntarily choose to take initiative for any problem he and his comrades encountered, regardless of the circumstances. He conducted himself with dignity as he fought for peace on and off the battlefield.2

Both Ms. Huff and Mr. Warner were honored with special plaques for their service at the Purple Heart Ceremony in September 2017.3 Both plaques are located inside the high school.

To Ms. Huff and Mr. Warner, the students and staff of Montgomery High School would like to sincerely thank you for all that you have done for us - preserving our autonomy, defending our freedoms, and, above all, sacrificing your lives for our beloved country.

Thank you for making us proud to be residents of Montgomery!

**Special thanks to Troop 850, MVMC, Skillman Landscaping, NJ Mulch, Belle Mead Co-Op, Mulch Supply, Blooms at Belle Mead, and Bountiful Gardens for their donations and assistance.
