• What is scrip?
Scrip is fundraising while you shop. Here's the site: https://www.shopwithscrip.com/
What makes scrip remarkable is that the fundraising benefits YOU!

    How does scrip work?
You simply purchase gift cards for retailers that you normally frequent, and the retailer rebates a percentage of your purchase.
What makes this remarkable is that YOU receive 80% of the rebate!

How do I use my scrip rebate?
You can apply your rebate to any just about any band expense.
Your rebates can make a significant reduction in the cost of the upcoming European trip, the district activity fee, marching band gloves, tickets to professional games at which we perform, just about ANYTHING band-related.

What do I need to do to sign up?
You will need to create an account with ShopWithScrip as well as PrestoPay (they process the payments).
Frankly, this is the most confusing part of the scrip program, but we’ll help you through it, and you’ll be up and running in no time. Check out the videos: https://www.shopwithscrip.com/

    I want some more information.
Sure! Here are some of the frequently asked questions:

    • Where can I learn more about this program?
Visit https://www.shopwithscrip.com/ or contact our volunteer coordinator Joyce Mehr via email at littledetails84@gmail.com

    • Which retailers are currently participating?
Visit the website https://www.shopwithscrip.com/ and click on the "Shop" tab to view the current list, but retailers are added and removed all the time. Popular retailers include ShopRite, CVS, Whole Foods, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and MORE!

    • How much are the rebates?
It varies according to retailer. Keep an eye out for special days during which select retailers increase their rebate percentages!

    • Where does my rebate go?
80% of your rebate goes directly into an account for your band student. 20% goes to the band program and helps defray the costs of additional band-related expenses.

    • What kind of gift cards are available?
      Plastic gift cards:
Some retailers such as ShopRite offer one-time-use plastic gift cards.
Some of these plastic gift cards offer a convenient “reload" feature.
It’s important to note that these plastic cards may be available for ordering only 3 or 4 times per year and will need to be picked up in person at MHS by an adult on a very specific day and time.
      Electronic gift cards:
Some retailers offer electronic gift cards which can be printed or presented on a phone, or they can be used online. There is also an app you can use on your phone so you can purchase gift cards on the go and use them immediately as you shop.

    • Who is the MHS contact person?
Joyce Mehr is our scrip coordinator. Contact Joyce via email at littledetails84@gmail.com and she will walk you through the enrollment process.
